Last night the world was changed after naked photos of Justin Bieber were released. The pictures of Biebs were taken as he is entering a pool at his private villa while on vacation in Bora Bora. All of the sudden the Internet was flocked with Bieber and his wiener on full display. After the Internet fully recovered from the images being thrust upon them so suddenly (lol), “#RespectJustinsPrivacy” began trending on Twitter, and this really got me thinking.
My first thought when I saw the tweets saying there were nude pictures of Justin Bieber, I assumed it was the iCloud thing all over again. But then, once I started thinking about it, and saw more tweets, I realized it wouldn’t really be surprising if Justin Bieber was chilling in the nude somewhere, he’s been a little boring and shenanigan-free lately. Once I found the photos I was both surprised, and slightly angry.
Where do we draw the line? We are so eager to get a first hand look into the lives of celebrities and know everything about what they’re doing, who they’re with, and where they are. I fully admit that I am guilty of this, but how far is too far? Well, I think taking pictures of Justin Bieber naked while on vacation in his private villa in Bora Bora is a little damn too far. The dude just wanted to go skinny-dipping (alone apparently because his girl is in her robe and doesn’t seem down at all). Everyone likes skinny-dipping. Was it REALLY necessary for the paparazzi to go out of their way to get naked pictures of Justin Bieber while he is just trying to enjoy his vacation? I get that paps have to work and make a living to feed their families and all that bullshit, but what if Justin Bieber was part of your family, and someone else took that picture, would you not be like wtf? It’s a little weird if you ask me. Do you not have anything better to do than take naked pictures of 21-year-old boys? But what do I know.
Now, this is all assuming that the photos weren’t staged. It’s not unknown to us that Justin Bieber has an album coming out on Nov. 13 (this is a holy day you must mark in your calendar because One D is releasing an album as well and the whole world might explode from excitement). That in mind, could those photos have been a publicity stunt thought of by a very desperate (and kind of smart), exploitative publicist? Perhaps. But in this case I am choosing to believe they were not because I love Bieber. But in case they were, you do you Biebs.
